Sambhar Vada
Ingredients:-
For Sambhar
Toor dal 1/2cup
Tamaraind pulp 2 tbsp
Chopped vegetables 2cups
(Pumpkin,gourd,okra,brinjal, drumsticks)
Salt to taste
Sambhar masala 4 tsp
Turmeric pwd 1/4tsp
Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves 10-12
Red chillies whole 3-4
For vada
Urad dal 250gm
Chopped onion 1 cup
Green chillies 4
For Sambhar
Toor dal 1/2cup

For vada
Urad dal 250gm

Recipe:-
For Sambhar
Boil tur dal with turmeric and salt till it softens nicely.Take 1tsp oil in a pan and 1/4tsp of mustards to it. When it starts crackling add chopped vegetables to it and Saute them. Add sauteed vegetables to dal and boil them for 10 minutes. You can add water if required. Add tamarind Pulp and sambar masala to it. Let it boil again for 5 minutes. Prepare Tadka using curry leaves ,mustard seeds and whole Red Chillies and add it to the sambhar.
For Sambhar
Boil tur dal with turmeric and salt till it softens nicely.Take 1tsp oil in a pan and 1/4tsp of mustards to it. When it starts crackling add chopped vegetables to it and Saute them. Add sauteed vegetables to dal and boil them for 10 minutes. You can add water if required. Add tamarind Pulp and sambar masala to it. Let it boil again for 5 minutes. Prepare Tadka using curry leaves ,mustard seeds and whole Red Chillies and add it to the sambhar.
For Vada
Soak urad dal overnight and grind it into a smooth paste. Add green chilli ,salt, chopped onions and coriander leaves to it. Now prepare vadas as shown.
Fry it till it becomes golden brown.
